Quarry Garden

Quarry Garden is a layered, sculptural garden adjoining Quarry Pool & Spa, designed to extend the home’s outdoor living experience into the evening. Our client commissioned Studio H to create a lighting scheme that would highlight the terraced levels, mature trees, and sculptural features, bringing the garden to life after dark while maintaining a sense of intimacy and drama.

Working closely with the client and landscape team, we carefully composed a hierarchy of lighting zones, balancing subtle illumination with accent features. Pathways, terraces, and key garden elements are defined through a mix of concealed uplights, downlights, and in-ground fixtures, creating depth and contrast across multiple levels. Sculptures and architectural planting are accentuated, while darker zones preserve shadow and intrigue, enhancing the sense of discovery throughout the garden.

All elements are controlled via an intuitive lighting system, allowing pre-set scenes to be recalled depending on mood, occasion, or time of year. The result is a garden that feels layered, sculptural, and seamlessly connected to the Pool & Spa, creating an enchanting extension of the home into the night.
